For example, Mrs. Sok Sem’s family received emergency assistance from SCCO, in the form of several bags of rice. Mrs. Sok Sem lives with her father and her four children in Andong. Her husband passed away in 2022, leaving her alone responsible for the family’s in-and-out living. Her oldest son is disabled and needs a lot of care, so the children’s grandfather is home during the day to take care of him and the other children.
“SCCO supported me in the form of a bag of rice when I didn’t have enough income,” shares Mrs. Sok Sem. She also stresses that she is grateful that SCCO offers her support in how to handle her income and expenses, leaving more money to invest in her business. “I would like to thank the management team at SCCO for all the support I have received. Thanks to them, I have a better income and my children have access to good education,” continued Mrs. Sok Sem. Through SCCO’s prompt care, families in Andong are able to regain their strength and have the space to focus on a better future.
