Summer has begun in the Netherlands and the school vacations are just around the corner.
In Cambodia, we are just halfway through the school year, with great new developments. The team of both DARA Europe and Stellar Child Care Organization (SCCO) are busy developing activities. Read what we are doing and what is still in the pipeline.

Second phase construction of community center
We are starting the second phase of the new building project. Thanks to “Wilde Ganzen“, our donors and new sponsors the construction of the 3rd floor will be realized. The contractor is satisfied and developments are proceeding according to plan.
For the third phase, finishing the building, we are still looking for more funds and donors.

Health care for Andong
DARA Europe also supports SCCO in the field of health care. In cooperation with various partners, SCCO offers solutions for children in the educational programs. In recent months, for example, several children with dental problems visited the dentist. Children with hearing problems received help from All Ears Cambodia.
In addition, SCCO provides health and hygiene education both in the classroom and during parent meetings and the meetings for the youth; the self-help groups. For emergencies requiring medical attention, SCCO is able to provide emergency care thanks to the support of DARA Europe.

A look back at 2023
Looking back at 2023, great strides have been made in Cambodia with the start of construction and the expansion of educational offerings. You can read all about our impact on page 13 of the annual report. We are proud of what we have achieved together and look forward to an equally successful 2024. July 14 DARA Europe organizes in cooperation with the gym SportPlaza from Ter Apel a yoga and wellness day in Roswinkel, Drenthe.
Prefer no yoga class? You can also pamper yourself in a wood-fired sauna and take a refreshing dip in the pool.
