Lesson offerings that fit the need<\/strong><\/p>\n\n Sivorn coordinates kindergarten level 2 and 3 classes, tutoring for Grade 1 and 2 (similar to grade 3 and 4 in the Netherlands), computer courses and English classes. Each program has great significance and supports various educational needs within the community. <\/p>\n\n “For groups 1 and 2, SCCO offers intensive Khmer and math classes to accelerate reading, writing, and math skills,” says Sivorn. She also emphasizes the importance of mastering these basic skills early as motivation for students to avoid dropping out early. <\/p>\n\n She continued: “English classes are important for students who otherwise do not have access to private English education. “SCCO strives to provide them with basic English skills, important for a better future.”<\/p>\n\n Preschool classes are currently available for 4- and 5-year-olds in both mornings and afternoons. But there were more enrollments than spots this year. So the overwhelming demand from the community calls for further expansion.
